Born and raised in Hong Kong, Leung received her B.A. in 2000 and M.F.A. in 2007 from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Her painting is a variant of Chinese fine brush painting. She combines different materials and contemporary cultures in traditional media, transforming her observation, perception and imagination towards daily life into whimsical stories.   

Leung’s solo exhibitions include “Mollywood”  (Grotto Fine Art, 2018), “Unpoetic Poems” (Grotto Fine Art, 2014) and “Photo-Mirror: Japan” (Aquvii TOKYO, 2013) etc. Her joint exhibitions include “Ink Dreams: Selections from the Fondation INK Collection”  (LACMA, A Sense of Place – From Turner to Hockney, Hong Kong section at Hong Kong Museum of Art), “Walking In The Dreams” at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum; “Octopus – Nine Contemporary Artists from Hong Kong” at Hanina in Israel and “The Pivotal Decade: Hong Kong Art 1997-2007” at the Chinese Arts Centre in Manchester, UK. Her works have been collected by the Hong Kong Museum of Art, the Ashmolean Museum of Oxford University, LA County Museum of Art and private collectors.
