Lewis Lau Yin To, (b.1988, Hong Kong) ,an artist focusing on oil painting. Born in Hong Kong and now based in London.

As an artist, Lewis enjoys rambling in the city, lives in the moment, in the meanwhile he also looks back as an outsider. Searching images he finds suitable momentarily, and with that instant feeling he picks up valued elements, moving on to capture the space with a symbolic object to represent the strolling life in the city and transforms them into oil paintings.

Lewis Lau graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Department of Fine Arts, received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 2010 and Master of Fine Arts in 2012. Starting from his student years, Lewis observes and examines the loneliness and insecure of lives. Throughout the years the subject remains the same but the outcomes vary when his perspective, life experience, lives’ events and emotion changes.

Lewis Lau have been exhibited in various art fairs, exhibitions, and his artworks has been collected by private collectors, malls and organizations. Participated solo exhibitions including <Facade> ART PROJECTS GALLERY, Hong Kong in 2021, <Exile> a.m.space, Hong Kong in 2017, <The Notion of Time> Tycoon Tann, Hong Kong and <Duo Solo Exhibition of Frank Tang and Lewis LAU> Art Kaohsiung, Taiwan in 2016. Group exhibitions including <Something Blue> Odds and Ends and <Fade Away Hong Kong, Now and Ever>, a.m.space, Hong Kong in 2022, <To Stay / To Flee> Pao Galleries in 2020, <Chinese Lines> Dokzaal Plantage Doklaan 8- 121018CM Amsterdam in 2015, etc. Lewis Lau has participated in Art Central 2021.

Lau was the winner of the Y.S. Hui Fine Arts Award, The Art of CUHK 2010, Ting Yen Yung Creative Award, The Art of CUHK 2009 and won the Merit Award, The First Hong Kong Oil Painting Competition in 2012.
