Doris Chui was graduated from the Fine Arts department of the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2022. Inspired by manga and animation, Chui’s works mainly are acrylic and mixed media on canvas and presenting in a strong narrative sense of frame. The desire of escaping from the reality drives Chui creates a dream-like world. She uses bold colors and strong contrasts to express the alienation and doubts about the reality of the world and establishes herself in solitude.
Her works have been exhibited at art institutions and art fairs such as K11 Art Space, the 4th New Art Expo, etc. and she has attained various awards including the Diana Li Award in Fine Arts, the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Creation Award, and the Mr. Kevin Chan Fine Arts Scholarship.
